We’re so confused!

A new report by The Guardian explains Buckingham Palace already has Queen Elizabeth’s funeral plans in place even though she’s not even dead yet (despite her recent death hoax on Twitter). The British monarch, 90, has been on the throne for the last 65 years.

The arrangements — which have been planned for decades! — even have a nickname, “Operation London Bridge.” There are plans for the days leading up to her death, too! The ideal scenario would be that she would pass away of a sickness, and while her doctor is looking over her, he will send out some updates on the Queen’s failing health.

Once she eventually dies, Prince Charles, her son, will be considered King immediately after Sir Christopher Geidt, her secretary, contacts the Prime Minister Theresa May.

After her death, Elizabeth’s body — the coffin will contain crown jewels sealed with a “false lid” — will be transported to the Buckingham Palace throne room. Word of her passing will spread throughout the country, with events being canceled, flags put at half mass, and royal families coming to the palace.

The following day, Charles will be sworn in as King (his wife, Camilla, will be Queen). Three days later, the coffin is transported in a procession to Westminster Hall and kept there for four more days. Wow, talk about a long process!

On the day of the actual funeral (10 days later), the crown jewels that were in the coffin are removed and cleaned. Shortly after, the coffin is brought to Westminster Abbey for prayer. Then, the Queen will be transported by carriage to Windsor Castle and put in the royal vault inside. What a way to go!
