When one door closes, another opens, or something cliché like that.
Kris Jenner — being the savvy business woman that she is — knows how to turn anything into an opportunity to make money; most recently, it’s her daughter Kim Kardashian’s failing marriage to Kanye West.
As In Touch previously reported, the union between the two of them is beyond the point of repair — but Kris is using the death of her daughter’s marriage to rejuvenate the family’s failing reality show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
An insider told In Touch, Kris is “pressuring Kim to discuss her marriage problems on Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”
The ratings for the show have been rapidly declining in recent years, and it’s no surprise that Kris wants to exploit her daughter’s personal drama for financial gain, considering the show reached its all-time high in ratings when Kim broke up with Reggie Bush, and similar peaks with her marriage to and divorce from Kris Humphries.
“The show is over and will be canceled,” a source tells In Touch. Another production insider insists it won’t be canceled, but agrees it could use some fresh material, “They’ve had an unbelievable nine-year run. The problem is the show is overplayed. How many times can Scott Disick go to rehab? It’s flat compared to all the past drama. They need a baby, a wedding, or a divorce.”
Well, we’ll stand by our original statement: If we have to see KimYe’s marriage fall apart, at least we’ll get to see it overdramatized in neatly edited episodes!
