Glenn Quinn portrayed Mark Healy in the hit series Roseanne from 1990 until 1997. But he sadly passed away just five years after the show ended.
And now that the sitcom is set to get an exciting revival, many fans are wondering: how exactly did Mark from Roseanne die?
On Dec. 3, 2002, Glenn sadly passed away from an accidental heroin overdose. He was found by a friend on a couch in Hollywood at the time of his passing. He was only 32 years old when he died.
Throughout his long run as Mark on Roseanne, the actor hid his Irish accent the entire time! Quite impressive. He co-starred alongside Roseanne Barr, John Goodman, Sara Gilbert, Johnny Galecki, and more in the hit series. In the show, he played Becky Conner’s boyfriend and David Healy’s brother.
It was previously reported that the show’s revival will include different plots than how the original show ended. In the 1997 series finale, Dan Conner (John Goodman) died of a heart attack and the Conner’s won the lottery!
Similar to the show, the upcoming reboot is set to include original characters Roseanne, Dan, Darlene Conner (Sara), David (Johnny), D.J. Conner (Michael Fishman), Becky (Lecy Goranson), and Jackie Harris (Laurie Metcalf). It has not yet been revealed if Glenn’s character will be recast or if they will not include him in the show.
At the end of Roseanne, Darlene and David’s entire relationship was erased and we found out in “reality” David was actually with Becky and Mark was actually with Darlene. Essentially, the brothers ended up switching sisters! Complicated, we know. That said, we’re curious to see how they incorporate that storyline into the revival.
If one thing is for sure, though, Glenn will be missed in the reboot.
