Now we know!
Just more than one month after George Clooney and his wife, Amal Clooney, welcomed twins Ella and Alexander, the babies’ birth order has finally been revealed.
According to Entertainment Tonight, Alexander was born first at 12:54 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6 and his little sister, Ella, arrived two minutes later at 12:56 p.m.
George and Amal’s spokesperson confirmed the babies’ births last month. “This morning Amal and George welcomed Ella and Alexander Clooney into their lives,” their rep told E! News. “Ella, Alexander, and Amal are all healthy, happy, and doing fine. George is sedated and should recover in a few days.”
In Touch Weekly previously revealed Amal and George were expecting their first children together back in January 2017. “Amal is pregnant with twins: a boy and a girl,” an insider close to the lawyer told the magazine. “When George and Amal found out it was twins they were surprised, but also a little scared because they both had said that one was enough.”
As previously reported, the happy duo — who tied the knot in Venice, Italy in September 2014 — allegedly plan to settle down with the newborns at their home in the UK for a few years.
One thing is for sure — George is thrilled to be a new father and even helped Amal with design kids’ nursery! “It’s going to be muted colors — probably blues, greens, and cream,” a source previously revealed. “George likes airplanes, trains, and jungle animals.”
George previously gushed in a past interview, “We are really happy and really excited. It’s going to be an adventure. We’ve sort of embraced it all… with arms wide open.”
We couldn’t be more excited for the A-list couple on their newest family additions!
