Ciara and her husband Russell Wilson welcomed their first child together on Friday, April 28 — and they announced their baby girl’s birth and revealed her creative name in a sweet message on Instagram.
“Dear Sienna Princess Wilson, No matter how big the wave, we will always be your calm in the storm. We Love You. Love, Mommy & Daddy,” the 31-year-old wrote in the caption of a photo of herself on the beach that was taken while she was still pregnant.
Little Sienna was born at 7:03 p.m. and she weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces. Even though this is the first child for Ciara and her NFL star hubby, the R&B singer is already a mom to two-year-old son Future Zahir — whom she shares with her ex-fiancé, hip-hop star Future.
The couple tied the knot last July in a gorgeous wedding ceremony at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, England and just three months later, they announced that they were expecting their first child together. Ciara recently gushed about what her first year of marriage was like with Russell.
“Married life is the best life. It’s definitely life-changing, and you do feel a difference between the stages of being boyfriend and girlfriend to being engaged to actually being married,” she told E! News. “You feel the definition of what ‘being one’ is, and it’s really cool.”
The couple definitely is one and Russell recently said that they when it came time to pick a name for their baby girl, it was a joint effort between the two of them — and little Sienna’s name was chosen after an even amount of brainstorming between him and his wife.
“A little bit of both,” Russell told People. “I think we both have some creative sense about us, so it’s gonna be cool.”
