Selena Gomez has grown so much, both emotionally and professionally, over the past couple of years, so we’re not surprised that she decided to end her working relationship with her parents, Mandy and Brian Teefey, in March. But was the firing more than just a business decision? Selena and her parents have butted heads over her relationship with Justin Bieber, 20, in the past, and the family friction has reportedly been mounting ever since the on-again, off-again couple reunited in early March.
Selena and her parents may not see eye to eye on her relationship with Justin, but a source tells TMZ that that’s not the reason she fired them
Although Selena has argued with Mandy and Brian over her career goals and her romance with the Biebs, the singer actually decided to move on because she feels she’s “outgrown her parents,” and she wants to have a more experienced manager who has other A-list clients.
We’re relieved to hear that Selena still has a strong relationship with her parents, and we hope that they will be able to work out their issues, because it looks like the Biebs isn’t going anywhere any time soon.
Justin has been working overtime to prove his devotion to Selena, and he’s even written a love song that he’d like to record with her, a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
“He knows it’s something she really wants because it will be huge for her career. He wants to do it for her because he loves her — he loves feeling like her hero,” our source close to Justin revealed.Follow @Infocelebrity on Twitter!
