After Drake said in an interview that Jay Z only raps about art and it’s “corny,” it’s no surprise that Hov lashed out at him in his new song, “We Made It.” However, as two of the best rappers in the game, we hate to see them feuding — and they have one person in both of their circles that could totally mend this — yes, Rihanna, we’re looking at you.
“Sorry Mrs. Drizzy for so much art talk,” Jay Z raps on his new hit, which is over the electronica beat “We Made It” — which Drizzy has rapped over in the past, too. “Silly me, rappin’ ’bout sh-t that I really bought, while these rappers rap about guns that they ain’t shot, and a bunch of other silly sh-t that they ain’t got.”
Yes, Drake had this coming. After he dissed him in Rolling Stone last month, we were completely shocked — especially because they’ve been friendly in the past.
Jay, 44, is extremely protective over Rihanna, since he is the one who discovered her in 2004 and has been her mentor since then. And Drake is Rihanna’s on-again fling — he’s completely “infatuated” with her!
Now that he’s fired back, Rihanna should step in a tell the boys to step back. She shouldn’t take sides or get too involved, but by telling each of them how important they are — Drake as the man she’s seeing and Jay as the man she looks up to — it would help them to work this out maturely.
That being said, since Drake and Jay are both important to the Stay singer, both of them should respect her enough to respect each other.Follow @Infocelebrity on Twitter!
