Justin Bieber, 20, may have to officially be admitted into the record books after getting ‘forgive’ tatted on his stomach while flying over 30,000 mile up aboard a plane. But why? Is this a message celebrating he and Selena Gomez‘s new romance? Does the Biebs feel so on top of the world that he had to express it — literally on top of the world?

Justin Bieber Gets Tattoo While On A Plane — Was It For Selena?

Justin has joined a very exclusive mile-high club that does not involve having sex, however it does involve a tattoo, and a little message to a certain someone. spoke to Bang Bang, a celebrity tattoo artist, who told us that he actually did the tattoo on Jan. 28, immediately following Justin’s Miami DUI arrest.

“Justin just said forgive as in, Jesus forgiving and dying for our sins. He got a cross on his chest the day before, he was in a pretty intense state a zen state. Tattoos are a way to reflect on your skin what you’re feeling inside. It was a pretty meaningful tattoo for him.”
But the coolest part is that Bang Bang tells us that he and Justin are hoping that they broke a world record!
“We are trying to see if Guinness will give us a record for the highest altitude tattoo!”

Justin got a fresh tat on a flight to Canada just five days after his infamous Miami Beach arrest. The new ink was done by New York City tattoo artist Bang-Bang, who has tatted up the likes of Rihanna, Selena Gomez, Katy Perry and many other big celebs, reports TMZ.

As for why he got the tattoo in the first place — Bang-Bang says Bieber sent him a text afterward, explaining, “Forgiveness is powerful, forgive as Jesus died on the cross to forgive our sins.”

That’s one reason but we think that the word “forgive” could have a double meaning — one that relates to how Selena Gomez forgave Justin, and took him back after all the things the two went through.

Bang Bang tells TMZ the work was done at 40,000 feet (which he thinks might be a record for highest altitude tattoo) and during terrible turbulence. He called it “the most difficult tattoo I’ve ever done for sure.”

Justin and Selena have been stuck on each other since getting back together. The two have been posting some very racy pics on Instagram, and have even been said to have had Skype sex when not together.Follow @Infocelebrity on Twitter!
