selenaSelena Gomez didn’t go to rehab until Jan. 5, but her problems began a month earlier at L.A.’s Jingle Ball, a source told exclusively.

Selena Gomez’s Rehab — Signs It Was Coming

“She was acting out a lot and one of those signs was when she freaked out during Jingle Ball when she was caught lip synching,” a source close to the Come & Get Itsinger told us. ”That actually was a blessing in disguise as her people were able to use that moment to talk to her and deal with her problems.”

Those who are close to Selena were worried about her, and that incident allowed them to really discuss everything. When she reunited with Justin Bieber on a segway trip, it was another red flag.

“She hung out with him because she was obsessed with the lifestyle even more then loving him,” the source added about their segway reunion on Jan. 2. “Add those two things together and it’s a complete nightmare. Her people knew she needed the help.”

Selena Not Allowed To See Justin Anymore

While Selena has been battling issues on her own, many of them stem from Justin — but her loved ones are making sure that’s over.

“Everyone between friends, family and handlers want Justin completely out of her life,” a source close to the 21-year-old told us. “They are making sure she is with someone at all times, like a sober friend so she doesn’t go visit Justin. She was left to herself when she went to go see him last time and that mistake will never happen again,” the source recalled.

Her friends don’t want her anywhere near Justin — “they don’t want him texted, talked to or seen. They want her to be better.”
