Demi Lovato Tweets “Only the Strongest People Ask for Help” in Wake of Selena Gomez Rehab News

Published on February 6, 2014 by   ·   No Comments course Demi Lovato was going to tweet kind words to support her bestie.

Shortly after the shocking news that Selena Gomez had secretly completed a two-week rehabilitation program went public, the former X Factor judge took to Twitter to write some encouraging words that we can only assume were meant for her gal-pal.

“Weakness is living in denial. Only the strongest people ask for help,” Lovato wrote.

Meanwhile, Gomez has stayed mum about the situation, but shared an Instagram video in which she shows off her hot dance moves.

While the 21-year-old’s rep previously confirmed that Gomez didn’t spend two weeks at Arizona’s Dawn at the Meadows last month for any sort of substance abuse issue, E! News has learned that the “Come and Get It” singer did need time to “clear her head.”

A source tells E! News that Gomez, who was out of rehab in time to attend the Sundance Film Festival, checked in right after a photo surfaced of her riding Segways with ex-boyfriend Justin Biebernear his home in

“The last straw was seeing them on the Segways,” the source says. “She needed to work on her emotional life. She needed to learn tools on how to deal with Justin and letting go of that relationship.

“This is the first time she’s ever taken the time to deal with issues, to deal with herself, with a therapist.”

As of now, “everything is OK at the moment with her family,” the source adds.Follow @Infocelebrity on Twitter!
