So it was unsurprising when the “Try” singer opened her 2014 Grammys performance last night exactly how we hoped: with a jaw-dropping aerial dancing routine, which included her spinning entirely upside down. Clearly, these type of incredible physical feats require the 34-year-old singer and mom to stay in top shape.
She recently opened up to Fitness magazine about how she maintains her killer body and keeps up the energy to twirl around in the air. So if you want to look flawless in a bodysuit, take note.
1. She Works Out Five Times a Week: “My show is pretty demanding physically, so on tour I work out about five times a week,” she tells Fitness. “I do an hour of cardio and an hour of yoga with my dancers before almost every show…Sometimes I feel more like an athlete than a singer!”
2. She’s Flexible With Her Diet: A self-described very healthy eater, Pink has gone vegan before, although now she eats chicken and fish. But when she’s on tour, she gives herself the occasional break. “If I’m hungry for bread or pasta or a french fry, I eat it. I cannot resist cheesecake! You can’t be too controlled,” she says.
3. She Stays Active, Even on Her Off Days: When Pink isn’t on tour, she still actively seeks out fun and physical activites. “I try to find the time to do something active every day, whether it’s hiking or running or anything outdoors,” she says. “Even when you’re not in the mood, it’s worth motivating yourself to do.”
4. She Doesn’t Beat Herself Up: One of the things we love most about Pink is that she doesn’t obsess over her body and nitpick over every single detail. She’s honest and candid, and it’s really refreshing to see. She told Women’s Health last October, “I’d love to be 10 pounds thinner, but it’s not in the cards for me.
