Contrary to reports, E! News has learned that after posting $2,500 bail, the pop star left the Miami-Dade County Jail following hisarrest hours earlier for DUI, and did not get on a private plane to Los Angeles, but instead headed to Icon Brickell Hotel in Downtown Miami.
However, a source close to Biebs tells E! News that Justin will be returning to L.A. as soon as possible, and adds, “Everyone around him is urging him to seek help.”
Additionally, another source tells E! News, “There is massive concern right now. The concern is, We have to figure this out. We have to fix this and do whatever it takes. They think the problem is the people he is hanging out with. He has some issues to work on.”
Although the celeb’s arrest has definitely heightened the concern surrounding his well-being, Bieber’s camp has voiced worry for the star plenty of times. Most recently, E! News was told by a source that, “Justin’s team has been encouraging him to go to rehab for a while. He won’t listen to his team. His ego has gotten out of control,” adding, “Lil Za, Milk and Lil Twist are particularly bad influences on him.”
Bieber was arrested shortly after 4 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23, on Pine Tree Drive and 26th Street in Miami Beach, Fla. The Canadian pop star was drag racing in a rented yellow Lamborghini, police told NBC 6 South Florida, after visiting SET Nightclub with friends.
“He rolled in just after midnight with his group and immediately took a table in the back,” a fellow partygoer at the club told E! News exclusively. The attendee said the “Beauty and the Beat” singer was joined by “tons of girls” at the South Beach hot spot. And, per usual, his legion of fans showed up in droves. “There were throngs of young, teenage girls outside the club waiting for him. They were there when he left two hours later.”
A second source said Bieber’s table was stocked with Red Bulls and water, but noted that he was not seen drinking alcohol. He left the club at 2 a.m. with several women, including model Chantel Jeffries.
After being pulled over, Bieber failed a field sobriety test and was subsequently charged with DUI, driving on an expired license and refusing arrest without violence. At the time of his arrest, the singer admitted to being on prescription medication and smoking marijuana. He also drank “a beer” at some point.Follow @Infocelebrity on Twitter!
