On Monday, Dec. 2, the mom of two made a Manhattan sidewalk seem more like a runway as she strutted out of an office building wearing a chic, all-black ensemble. Dressed head-to-toe in fabrics that accentuated her svelte postbaby bod, Jess was all smiles despite the chilly temps!
The 33-year-old singer turned mogul just gave birth to son Ace in June. Since then, she’s worked with Weight Watchers to shed those pregnancy pounds in a healthy way. And whileEric Johnson‘s fiancée is surely proud to have her prebaby body back, she realizes her size will never be the thing that defines her.
In a heartfelt blog post for Parents.com, Jessica wrote openly about wanting her 19-month-old daughter to see herself in a positive light. “Raising Maxwell makes me realize that I don’t want her to see me beat myself up for things like food choices or numbers on a scale. I don’t want her to learn anything like that from me,” she stated. “Those things don’t determine who we are and instead make us feel terrible about ourselves.”
Jessica wants her daughter “to value herself, listen to herself and tune out the world,” adding,” I want her to know her value, rather than spending her energy fighting negative voices from within. I want to teach her to figure out what is truly right for her rather than worrying about what anyone else thinks.”
Maxwell and all the girls who’ve looked up to her mom through the years certainly have a great female role model in Jessica!Follow @Infocelebrity on Twitter!
