Taylor Swift: People Assume I’m “Heartbroken,” “Sad All the Time” and “Lonely”

rs_634x845-131118072709-634-Nov25-13TaylorSwiftTaylor Swift ‘s got a good “surprise face,” but her poker face is much more transparent.

Meaning? She’s not the kind of lady who hides how she’s feeling! In a candid interview with New York Magazine‘s Nov. 18 issue, the 23-year-old explains why “allowing yourself to feel raw, real emotions in public is something I’m never going to be afraid to do.”

“Hopefully that’s the case, if I can remain a real human,” she clarifies. “I’m fine with being honest with my fans about the fact that it’s okay that everything isn’t okay all the time. I love my life, I love my career, I love my friends—but things are not okay all the time. So I don’t sing about things being okay all the time.”

Sometimes showing these emotions brings on criticism, but Taylor quickly dismisses it. “There’s a spin on every single celebrity out there,” she says. “I know that one of my spins is: ‘Oh, Taylor’s heartbroken. Oh, Taylor fell in love and the guy broke her heart. She’s sad all the time, and lonely.’

“I mean, they can say all they want,” she says. “Those are real feelings that every single person goes through. I think it’s okay to be mad at someone who hurt you. This isn’t about, like, the pageantry of trying to seem like nothing affects you. I’m a songwriter. Everything affects me.”

But that doesn’t mean she musically documents the ins and outs of everything. “I only write songs about crazy love,” she explains. “If I go on two dates with a guy and we don’t click, I’m not writing a song about that. It didn’t matter in the emotional grand scheme of things. There’s a lot that goes on in daily life that isn’t really worth turning into a verse and a chorus.”

Fair enough. And any guy who decides to pursue Ms. Swift romantically should know by now what he’s in for. She seems unamused by the “ranting, crazy e-mails I got from this one dude” she shared a “love that was wonderful until it was terrible” with. She asks, “So what are you going to do? Did you not Wikipedia me before you called me up?”

Seems like a valid question.Follow @Infocelebrity on Twitter!
