No, it’s not Fifty Shades of Grey.
It’s Crimson Peak, Guillermo Del Toro‘s upcoming horror movie also starring Tom Hiddleston and Mia Wasikowska.
Chastain has yet to meet the Sons of Anarchy star nor has she read Fifty Shades.
“I heard there’s like steamy sex,” she said while promoting her new drama, The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby, at the Toronto Film Festival.
That’s an understatement. “It’s really kinky,” I explained to the two-time Oscar nominee, adding, “It’s like porn.”
“That’s fine,” Chastain said. “I like written porn. The imagination is very strong.”
And we can only imagine what Chastain will think once she finally sets her eyes on Mr. Hunnam, aka Christian Grey.
“Are you telling me I’m going to fall in love with Charlie Hunnam on set?” Chastain joked (for the record she’s been seeing Italian fashion executive Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo for quite some time now).
When I remind Chastain she always gets to work with some of Hollywood’s hottest men (Brad Pitt in Tree of Life, Tom Hardy in Lawless and James McAvoy in Eleanor Rigby, among many others), she smiled, “It’s my favorite part of the job. It’s in my contract.”
Eleanor Rigby is the story of a couple (Chastain and McAvoy) whose marriage falls apart after the death of their two-month-old baby. The film is split into two parts, one telling the story from the wife’s point of view with the other from the husband’s.
One of the buzzier movies of Toronto, it sold yesterday for about $3 million, according to Deadline.com.
