Although it’s only been one day since the birth of Kate Middleton and Prince William‘s little prince, the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall must get back to business as usual.
According to the official royal website, Charles and Camilla have a busy week ahead.
The pair are expected to visit the Royal Welsh Show, Royal Welsh Showground in Llanelwedd, Builth Wells, Powys tomorrow, and then Charles will be officially opening the new garden at Kemble Railway Station in Windmill Hill, Kemble, Gloucestershire on Thursday.
The duo will then have a couple days off before getting back into it on Monday, when Charles and Camilla visit The Historic Dockyard Chatham in Chatham, Kent. His Royal Highness is Patron The Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust.
On Tuesday, they will attend a Music in Country Churches concert at the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul in Salle, Norfolk. The Prince of Wales is Patron, Music in Country Churches.
Meanwhile, Queen Elizabeth II hosted a reception at Buckingham Palace for the winners of the 2013 Queen’s Award for Enterprise today. The Queen’s Award for Enterprise are awards for outstanding achievement by UK businesses in the categories of innovation, international trade and sustainable development.
Charles and Camilla arrived at St. Mary’s hospital in London earlier today to visit their grandson for the first time.
The Prince of Wales described the heir to the throne as “marvelous”, adding “wait and see, you’ll see in a minute”, after visiting the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their new baby in hospital.
“Both my wife and I are overjoyed at the arrival of my first grandchild,” the 65-year-old royalsaid in a statement Monday. “It is an incredibly special moment for William and Catherine and we are so thrilled for them on the birth of their baby boy.”
He continued: “Grandparenthood is a unique moment in anyone’s life, as countless kind people have told me in recent months, so I am enormously proud and happy to be a grandfather for the first time and we are eagerly looking forward to seeing the baby in the near future.”Follow @Infocelebrity on Twitter!
