The Hunger Games costars each attended teh famous San Diego convention this year to promote their highly anticipated sequel Catching Fire, but J. Law—who was also promoting X-Men: Days of Future Past and has attended Comic-Con before—still had to prepare herself for what she could encounter while there.
“I don’t know,” Lawrence told E! News about whether there would be more Katniss or Mystique costumes at Comic-Con. “How would you make a Mystique costume? Are there gonna be naked people? Should I be prepared?”
Oh, Jennifer, the possibilities are endless.
The actress also told us that even though she had a very successful awards season, she’s so happy to finally get back on set and do what she loves the most—act.
“It’s great just to be able to go back to work as I think sometimes with press you kinda forget what you do and you start to be like, ‘This is miserable, why do I do this?’ and then you get on set and it’s like, ‘Oh right, because I love to act,'” she said.
“So yeah it was amazing. And also the great part about doing these movies is you know everybody and you get to come back and see your friends. Like X-Men, I haven’t seen those guys in like two years, so it was awesome.”
Meanwhile, her onscreen love interest was a complete noob to the idea of Comic-Con, but quickly realized just how wild it can get.
have not seen the hall, so far I saw from the hotel room what looked like absolute craziness but I can only imagine what goes on inside there,” Hutcherson told E! News, and added, “If there are some Peeta lookalikes out there, that’d be awesome.”
The young star admitted that he doesn’t have the same fanboy eagerness and dedication as some of the people at the convention, but there was one Caped Crusader that was the staple of Hutcherson’s childhood.
“You know, I can’t say that I’ve been that much of a fan of anything before, that’s kinda sad in a way, but when I was a kid, I loved superheroes. I was a Batman freak. I always dressed up as Batman. I built my own bat cave in the basement. I was totally Batman’d out. Some of these people haven’t grown out of that and I wish I hadn’t grown out of it either, but I did, unfortunately.”
Rocking a Batman costume at Comic-Con may bring that side of you back out, Josh.
