Bethenny Frankel‘s divorce from Jason Hoppy doesn’t seem to be going as smoothly as the star may have hoped, but even her ex-bestie is confident that the former Real Housewives of New York City star will get through it OK.
E! News caught up with Jill Zarin at her first annual Luxury Ladies’ Luncheon presented by the European Wax Center in New York City, and although Zarin and Frankel have had their (very public) differences, Zarin tells us that her former costar and Hoppy will “work it out.”
“I don’t know if it’s really that nasty,” Zarin said of the divorce. “I don’t always believe that kind of press. They’ll work it out. They’ll find a way and they’ll work it out because they both love their daughter.”
Frankel took the first step in ending her two-year marriage to Hoppy by filing for divorce in New York City in January, less than a month after revealing that they were separating.
‘It brings me great sadness to say that Jason and I are separating.” Frankel in a statement. “This was an extremely difficult decision that as a woman and a mother, I have to accept as the best choice for our family. We have love and respect for one another and will continue to amicably co-parent our daughter who is and will always remain our first priority. This is an immensely painful and heartbreaking time for us.’
The pair first met in 2009 when Bethenny was still part of the original cast of The Real Housewives of New York City. Her spinoff series, Bethenny Getting Married, followed their trip to the altar, followed by Bethenny Ever After, another series that put a spotlight on their married life as well as the birth of their daughter, Bryn, now 3 years old.
Since the filing, the pair have been meeting in court to discuss custody of their baby girl.
Frankel has been very open about the process, and even admitted that another marriage is definitely not something she sees in her future.
It all started when the reality star tweeted, “I’m not sure what’s going on w me hormonally, but if the talk show doesn’t work, i can pursue a career as an exotic dancer.
A fan replied that Frankel could also, “try marriage,” to which she responded, “Hell no!”
However, the talk show host has also said that she is still a believer in love.
“I do believe in love. I always have and I always will,” she told . “But love comes in different places. Right now my love for my daughter is the most important thing. But I believe in good people.”Follow @Infocelebrity on Twitter!
