Prince Harry Tries American Football—See the Pic!

rs_293x473-130512155614-634.prince..ls.51213Prince Harry looks to have one heck of a throwing arm.

Touring the U.S. Air Force Training Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. on Sunday, the royal took part in a little football practice—American-style, of course—and the scouting reports look good.

Joining Harry was U.S. Air Force Academy coach Troy Calhoun, who offered him a few tips on how to handle the pigskin, considering he’s more used to soccer (or, as the rest of the world calls it, football). And by all accounts, he looked like a natural, at least in the quarterback position.

The third in line subsequently threw the ball to various cadets as they ran down the field. He also got down on the gridiron to help some cheerleaders build a human pyramid that was topped off by the mascot for the USAF Falcons gridiron team, a man dressed as a bird.

On Saturday the Prince attended the 2013 Warrior Games that included a march of 260 wounded service members and veterans, who competed in the games. Next up on hisAmerican tour, Harry’s scheduled to appear in New Jersey today to visit with victims affected by last fall’s Superstorm Sandy.
